The World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace is the biggest event on the darts calendar, the one most of you will have seen on TV over Christmas. For 2026/27 it's moving into Ally Pally's larger Great Hall, and for the first time every ticket is being allocated through a ballot rather than sold first come, first served.
This guide covers the World Darts Championship specifically. Other UK darts events, like the Premier League at the O2, use different ticketing systems entirely and aren't covered here.
This year's tournament runs from Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. The move to the Great Hall lifts capacity to more than 5,000 a session across 36 sessions, around 180,000 tickets in total, over 40% more than in previous years.

The ballot
Every ticket for 2026/27 goes through one of two ballot windows. There's no general sale expected once both close.
PDCTV members' ballot
This window opens at 12pm on Tuesday 1 September and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 7 September 2026. To be eligible you need an active PDCTV Annual Membership in place before 11:59pm on Sunday 30 August, which costs £65 for the year. If you join after that date, you're only eligible for the general ballot below.
The membership includes more than ballot access: live streaming of PDC tournaments, on demand replays, interviews and the match archive, so it can be worth it even outside the ballot if you follow darts through the year.
General ballot
Open to everyone, free to enter, no membership required. It opens at 12pm on Tuesday 8 September and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 14 September 2026, and covers whatever tickets are left after the members' ballot.
How the ballot works
Both windows work the same way. You can apply for up to 6 tickets per session, across a maximum of 2 sessions, ranking your preferred sessions in order. The sessions are drawn separately, so you could end up with tickets for both, one, or neither.
It's a random draw, not first come first served, so applying the moment a window opens makes no difference to applying the day before it closes. Everyone who enters gets an email during September either way, successful or not.
Ticket prices rise as the tournament progresses. Early sessions start at £55 for tiered seating, £75 for table seating on the arena floor, and £399 for the 501 Club category (more on what that means below). By the Final, those prices are £95, £110 and £599. The cheapest and easiest to obtain sessions are in the group stages in mid-December.
Being flexible with which sessions you're willing to accept can improve your chances, since demand isn't spread evenly. Opening Night, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the Final are expected to be the hardest sessions to land.

Official hospitality
If you'd rather not rely on the ballot, or you want a guaranteed seat regardless of the outcome, Pitch Experiences is the official and exclusive hospitality partner for the World Darts Championship through to 2030, running the 501 Lounge at Alexandra Palace.
You can apply for the 501 Club through the ballot itself, priced from £399 early in the tournament rising to £599 for the Final, allocated the same random way as every other ticket category. Either way, expect a pre-session meal and drinks in the 501 Lounge, with higher tiers adding better positioned seating in the main arena and, at Platinum, a private table for up to 8.
Resale: what's actually allowed
The PDC is strict about this. Its terms and conditions state that tickets cannot be resold, at face value or otherwise, outside official channels. Tickets found to have been resold can be cancelled, and the PDC has said it can blacklist buyers from future ticket purchases and pass details to the police in serious cases.
In recent seasons, SeeTickets has operated the official fan-to-fan resale platform, allowing tickets to be resold at face value, linked to the original booking. That's the legitimate route if you have a ticket you can't use, or you're hoping to pick one up after the ballots close. Exact details for 2026/27 will be confirmed on pdc.tv closer to the event.
The PDC has also warned that plenty of tickets advertised on sites like Viagogo and StubHub for sold-out sessions simply don't exist. If you see World Darts Championship tickets for sale anywhere other than an official channel, proceed with caution.
